Oracle is exploring an expansion of their Austin headquarters campus, which already encompasses over one million square feet. The company has announced plans to build a 287,000 square foot adjacent building and a 255-room hotel. Before they can proceed with these projects however, Oracle must receive several governmental approvals.
The campus was opened in 2018 and designated as the corporate headquarters in 2020; it currently has an estimated 2,800 employees working within the city limits. The tract where the expansion and hotel are being planned used to house Town Lake Village Condos before Oracle purchased them for $43 million-plus last year; approval was granted for demolition shortly thereafter.
