Oracle is exploring an office expansion and hotel in Austin, Texas. The company’s headquarters campus already encompasses over one million square feet and they are now looking to build another 287,000 square foot adjacent building as well as a 255-room hotel. Before the project can proceed, Oracle must receive a number of governmental approvals.
The campus was opened in 2018 and designated corporate headquarters two years later with an estimated 2,800 employees currently working there. The tract where the expansion is being planned used to be home to Town Lake Village Condos which Oracle purchased for $43 million-plus last year before receiving approval for demolition.
With its current plans underway, Oracle could potentially increase their presence even further within Austin city limits if all goes according to plan once government approvals have been granted.
