Colliers’ Office Capital Markets team, led by Alissa Adler and John Homsher, CCIM, successfully represented Orion Schaumburg LLC (Orion) in the sale of 955 American Lane in Schaumburg. The 178,000-square-foot vacant office building was acquired by a private investor. Jon Connor and Steve Kling from Colliers also played a key role in negotiating the transaction.
The property had previously served as Experian’s regional headquarters for over two decades but due to downsizing trends seen during the pandemic, it became available for sale. Built in 1999 with top-notch amenities such as a conference center, cafeteria, fitness center and walking path around Woodfield Lake; this Class A property is divisible into seven units. Its prime location just west of Woodfield Mall adds to its appeal.
In addition to this successful deal with Orion at 955 American Lane; Adler and Homsher have also completed sales via auction for two other properties owned by Orion within the last year – former AT&T headquarters at 930 National Parkway spanning across an area of106 ,380 square feet; along with former CVS headquarters located at2211 Sanders Roadin Northbrook which offers195 ,116 square feetof space.
