Two businesses in Rutherford County, Tennessee are making significant investments to expand their plants and bring new job opportunities to the area. Topre America, a supplier for major car manufacturers such as Nissan, Honda, and Toyota, is adding 120,000 square feet to its Smyrna operation with a budget of $57.8 million. This expansion is expected to create 250 jobs over the next five years and has received $1.7 million in incentives from the state.
In addition, computer hardware company Quanta is retrofitting a building near its La Vergne site for increased production of servers and racks used in cloud computing.
