"Expansion Plans for S. Florida Swimming Hall of Fame Include $54.4M Investment"

The International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale is set to undergo a major redevelopment and expansion, thanks to a $54.4 million construction loan secured by the developer.

Capital Group P3 Developments has received the mortgage from MACQ Holdings, with maturity set for June 2026. This will cover the project located at 501 Seabreeze Blvd., where ground lease negotiations with the city have recently been finalized. The Fort Lauderdale City Commission approved this public-private partnership (P3) project in September 2023, which has an estimated cost of $190 million. The existing aquatic center and dive tower have already undergone renovations.

The new development will consist of two buildings on either side of the aquatic center and dive tower: an east building featuring a welcome center, ISHOF museum, café, surf simulator machine, office space totaling around 27
