The developer behind Atlanta’s Star Metals District is seeking to expand its successful West Midtown development. Allen Morris Co. and partner Animal have announced plans for the next phases of the project, totaling 1.5 million square feet in additional space. The existing district already boasts a mix of apartments and office buildings, with construction underway on a new residential tower called Stella.
The upcoming phases will bring an additional 800 residential units, 100,000 square feet of retail space, and 200 hotel rooms to the area. If demand continues to rise as expected, there may even be potential for more office space in the future – currently at an impressive occupancy rate of 97%. According to reports from the Atlanta Business Chronicle , this final phase will take place on a sprawling site spanning over three acres just south of Star Metal Offices.
This prime location has already attracted notable tenants such as daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks . The land was acquired several years ago and is bordered by Howell Mill Road, 11th Street, Edgehill Avenue, and Bellingrath Avenue – making it an ideal spot for continued growth within one of Atlanta’s most sought-after districts.
