One of America’s largest sporting events is hosted at this renowned resort. The WM Phoenix Open Tournament attracts a staggering number of spectators, estimated to be close to one million. Even outside of the event season, the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess continues to thrive. In fact, plans are in motion for expansion and the addition of more rooms on its expansive 65-acre property.
According to reports from the Phoenix Business Journal, construction is set to begin on a new guest wing featuring 155 units with underground parking. Additionally, there will be 43 luxurious Sunset Villas/bungalows added as well as an upscale Italian restaurant and an indoor/outdoor coffee roasterie for guests’ enjoyment. A conference center and new ballroom will also be included in this development.
The four-story guest wing will occupy prime real estate at Cottage Terrace Lane and Hacienda Way within the resort grounds.
Currently boasting 751 hotel guest rooms, The Princess ranks third among Phoenix-area hotels and resorts – only behind Sheraton Phoenix Downtown and JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in terms of size.
This latest expansion further solidifies The Scottsdale Resort’s position as a premier destination for travelers seeking luxury accommodations combined with top-notch amenities.
