Bechtel, a global engineering firm, has recently signed a lease for 289,000 square feet at Reston Overlook in the highly sought-after Reston Town Center in Virginia. This lease marks both a renewal and expansion for Bechtel as they will now occupy 11 floors of the building which spans over 320,000 square feet.
According to Jake Stroman, Executive Vice President and co-head of BXP’s Washington DC region: “As a long-standing client for more than ten years, Bechtel’s decision to renew and expand their presence within Reston Town Center is evidence of its appeal among top companies globally. It also reflects the strong partnership we have built with them.”
Since establishing its headquarters in Reston back in 2012,Bechtel has continued to grow within BXP’s portfolio across Washington DC and Northern Virginia. Along with this latest expansion at Reston Town Center,the company also secured an additional space spanning over23 ,525 square feet last year at BXP’s property on Pennsylvania Avenuein Foggy Bottom neighborhoodofWashingtonDC.
The landlord was represented by Erin CotterandJake Stroman fromBXP while Cathy Delcoco from CBRE acted as representative for Bechtel during negotiations.
