Expanding Operations in El Paso: Mexican Food Company

A prominent Mexican food company is set to expand its operations in El Paso, with plans to construct a state-of-the-art warehouse and office complex worth $21.3 million. The new facility, spanning 59,000 square feet on seven acres of land in the historic Segundo Barrio neighborhood, will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters.

Grupo Bafar , known for its popular Bafar meat brand and based in Chihuahua, has chosen a prime location for their new cold-storage facility and office complex – right across from their current warehouse at 1601 E. Fourth Ave., which they plan to vacate by 2024.

In addition to this expansion project, Grupo Bafar also owns Valley Supermarket chain with six locations throughout El Paso and Frontier Foods Meat Market on Alameda Ave.

To support this growth initiative, the city and county have agreed to provide up to $846
