"Expanding Homer Building Lease: Public Affairs Group Secures 40K SF"

JLL has successfully arranged a lease renewal and expansion for BGR Group at the Homer Building in Washington, DC’s East End. The bipartisan government and public affairs firm has signed a lease for over 40,000 square feet at this prime location. As part of its $25 million renovation plan, the Homer Building will feature new amenities such as a two-story board room, an indoor glass enclosure on the roof terrace, and an expanded fitness center with a renovated pickleball court.

The transaction was facilitated by JLL’s team of experts including Evan Behr, Doug Mueller, Jeanette Ko Kristen Mathis,and Meghan Murray who represented Mitsui Fudosan America. On the other hand,Ttranswestern’s John Schlegel and John Lugar represented BGR.

According to Aimilia Vassiliou,director of asset managementand leasingat Mitsui Fudosan America (MFA), which acquired ownership ofthe building in 2011,the company recently secureda20 ,000-square-footlease witha trade association.Additionally,SMB CGroupand Rio Tinto have also signed new leasesfor The Guerry,trophy pre-built spec suites located onthe ninth floorofthe building.This latest development is yet another testamentto MFA’s commitment to providing top-notch facilitiesfor its tenants.The post highlightsBGR Group’sexpansioninHomerBuildingasitreaches40K SF,a significant milestone that further solidifiesitsposition as oneofthepremierpublicaffairsfirmsinWashington,D.C.
