Expanding Georgetown Chip Vendor with Samsung Effect

Schunk Xycarb Technology Inc. (SXT) is attributing the soon-to-open $19 billion Samsung plant as the impetus for their expansion plans. To accommodate this growth, SXT will be constructing a 140,000 square foot facility at 200 Velocity Drive in Georgetown, Texas – seven miles away from their current 40,000 square foot plant. According to Austin Business Journal reports construction is set to begin by year’s end and they anticipate moving into the new space by 2024. The quartzware product manufacturing company has also indicated that this production facility for semiconductor quartz will feature a clean room and high-purity cleaning system which would allow them to expand an automation component of their business that they have been capitalizing on for years now.

The Netherlands based company supplies semiconductor components worldwide including those used by Samsung in its operations..
