Evergreen Real Estate Tops Off Seniors Apartments in Suburban Chicago
Chicago-based Evergreen Real Estate Group has announced the topping-off of Leyden Senior Apartments, a new four-story, 80-unit independent senior living community located in Franklin Park, Illinois, within Chicago’s near-west suburbs.
Situated at 2506 N. Mannheim Road, Leyden Senior Apartments will feature 72 one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom residences. The development is designed for seniors aged 62 or older, with incomes at or below 60% of the area median income.
The building was designed by Weese Langley Klein Architects and will include amenities such as a community room, fitness room, lounge spaces, laundry rooms, and a patio. The adjacent Carl Fiorito Senior Center, also designed by Weese Langley Klein Architects, will be owned and operated by Leyden Township.
The project is being financed through a collaboration that includes the Illinois Housing Development Authority, Bank of America, Hudson Housing, Leyden Township, and the Cook County Department of Planning and Development. Mesirow Financial contributed to the project as part of the underwriting syndicate for the Illinois Housing Development Authority financing and also acted as the lead underwriter for Leyden Township’s General Obligation bond offering.
