Evergreen Goodwill Sells Everett Outlet Property for $25.35 Million
Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington has announced the sale of its Everett Outlet property to Community Transit for $25.35 million. The site, located at 2208 W. Casino Road in Everett, includes a 107,000-square-foot warehouse situated on a 7.5-acre lot.
As part of the deal, Goodwill will continue to operate its bulk retail store and recycling center at the location under a three-year lease agreement with Community Transit. The property was originally purchased by Evergreen Goodwill in 2011 for $10.9 million and has an assessed value of $17.5 million, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Proceeds from the sale will be used by the nonprofit organization to support and expand its tuition-free adult education programs, as well as to upgrade technology and infrastructure throughout its operations.
The outlet store is known for selling clothing by the pound at discounted rates and functions as a warehouse, delivery, and fulfillment center for aftermarket vendors. Community Transit, whose headquarters are adjacent to the Goodwill property, plans to use the facility to meet growing demands for vehicle storage, maintenance, and operations as it scales services over the coming years.
