Erickson Proposes 1,262-Unit Senior Housing Project in Boynton Beach

Erickson Senior Living has recently acquired a prime development site in the Agricultural Reserve west of Boynton Beach for $53.5 million. The company is actively pursuing rezoning for the property, with plans to build 1,262 senior living and nursing home units in six buildings ranging from three to four stories.

The 93.5-acre farmland at 8344 Boynton Beach Blvd was sold by the William Mazzoni Revocable Trust to Erickson, located just west of Florida’s Turnpike.

The transaction was brokered by Jim Knight of the Knight Group in Delray Beach and Curtis Olschansky of the Olschansky Group.

As part of its national expansion plan announced in 2023 worth $4 billion, Erickson Senior Living aims to develop retirement communities across various locations catering specifically towards retiring baby boomers looking for downsizing options. Their website highlights their comprehensive approach that includes overseeing every aspect from land acquisition and planning/design through construction and beyond.
