**Energy Storage Solutions to Build $6.4 Billion Data Center in Tarboro, North Carolina**

Energy Storage Solutions has announced plans to develop a state-of-the-art data center and energy storage project in Tarboro, North Carolina.

The company has submitted an application to the Town of Tarboro in Edgecombe County to construct the facility on more than 50 acres located on the south side of Anaconda Road, between McNair Road and Western Boulevard. The large-scale project represents a $6.4 billion capital investment and is expected to create 500 jobs in the area.

According to reports, the Tarboro data center will not be connected to the traditional power grid. Instead, it will utilize a nearby natural gas system for power generation and rely on battery storage to store the energy produced. A natural gas transmission line located approximately 4,000 feet from the site will support the project, and the company plans to build a substation on-site to facilitate operations.

The development will consist of three phases: the first two will be 25-megawatt data centers, and the third will be a 50-megawatt mobile data center.

This ambitious project highlights the growing interest in combining advanced data infrastructure with innovative, off-grid energy solutions.
