Energy Capital Partners and KKR have announced the development of a new 190-megawatt hyperscale data center campus in Bosque County, Texas, approximately 30 miles south of the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. This project marks the first investment under ECP and KKR’s $50 billion strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the growth of AI infrastructure across the United States.

The data center campus is being developed through a joint venture between CyrusOne and Energy Capital Partners. Spanning more than 700,000 square feet, the multiphase project will deliver an initial IT capacity of 144 megawatts. Designed with scalability in mind, the site is poised for rapid expansion and is expected to represent a total investment nearing $4 billion.

Strategically located adjacent to Calpine Corporation’s Thad Hill Energy Center, the new campus will benefit from a highly reliable power supply sourced from natural gas. Calpine has entered into a long-term agreement to provide dedicated power to the facility.

Construction is currently underway, with the first phase expected to become operational by the fourth quarter of 2026.
