**Vacant Former State Farm Offices in Dunwoody to Be Converted Into Condos**
The former State Farm office complex in Dunwoody, Georgia, is set for a significant transformation. Workspace Property Trust has announced plans to redevelop the site into a new residential community, shifting away from its previous commercial use.
The redevelopment proposal includes the conversion of the office buildings at 64 Perimeter Center East and 66 Perimeter Center East into a 125-unit, age-restricted rental community. Workspace Property Trust, which acquired the property in 2022, is currently seeking rezoning approval for the project. The move comes after State Farm relocated to its nearby Park Center campus in the same year.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the overall 16-acre site could include up to 449 residential units. This would feature more than 100 for-sale townhomes, which are expected to replace an existing surface parking lot on the site.
The two existing office buildings have remained vacant since State Farm’s departure. The 64 Perimeter Center building stands 15 stories high and offers 385,000 square feet of space, dating back to the mid-1980s. The 66 Perimeter Center building is an eight-story, 200,000-square-foot structure that was constructed in the early 1970s.
This redevelopment marks a significant shift in land use for Perimeter Center, reflecting broader trends in adaptive reuse and urban residential growth across metro Atlanta.
