Emory University is on the brink of unveiling its state-of-the-art heart and vascular facilities, thanks to an $87 million investment from Emory Healthcare. The updated care spaces feature cutting-edge technology and equipment, including a 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit, advanced operating rooms for cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, catheterization laboratories, electrophysiology laboratories, and a robotic room for more precise incisions.
According to Angel Leon MD., executive director of Emory Heart & Vascular: “These new facilities will greatly enhance patient care while also expanding our procedural capacity.” In addition to providing top-notch medical services with the latest advancements in technology, the facility aims to foster innovation and excellence across their entire service line.
