Elkton Welcomes Chinese E-Bike Company with New Industrial Lease

MetalRays, an electric bike manufacturer and distributor based in China, has signed a lease with McConnell Development for 109,192 square feet of space within the Upper Chesapeake Business Park in Elkton, Maryland. Located at 1003 Konica Drive, the Class-A building boasts 263,000 square feet total area. MetalRays intends to use this facility for storage and distribution of their full line of electric bike products throughout the United States; they currently operate a small warehouse space in Delaware.

Ned Brady and Eric Skogmo from Lee & Associates represented MetalRays while Michael McConnell from McConnell Development acted on behalf of the landlord during negotiations. “MetalRays was drawn to this building’s access to three major seaports: Baltimore; Wilmington; Philadelphia,” said Brady.” Additionally its Mid-Atlantic positioning places it within one day’s truck drive distance from approximately 50 percent US population – representing one third nation’s effective buying power.”
