**Kidder Mathews Appoints Edward Castro as General Counsel**
Kidder Mathews has announced the appointment of Edward Castro as General Counsel. In his new role, Castro will serve as the chief legal advisor for the firm, overseeing legal operations across its brokerage, asset services, and valuation advisory divisions. He will support the company’s operations in 19 offices located throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona.
Castro brings over three decades of experience in commercial real estate law. He is tasked with guiding the firm on a wide range of legal matters, including legal research and analysis, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, licensing, litigation, and legal issues across various state jurisdictions. His broad legal expertise supports the comprehensive suite of services offered by Kidder Mathews.
Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Castro spent 24 years with Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as Global Associate General Counsel. His work there encompassed legal support for the brokerage, valuations, consulting, and capital markets divisions.
With this appointment, Kidder Mathews strengthens its executive leadership team to support its continued growth and legal operations across the Western United States.
