Eaton is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of products, from golf grips to hydraulic power generators. Since 2019 the company has had an extensive presence in El Paso and is expected to expand even further. The company recently announced that it would be investing $80 million into new operations and increasing its El Paso workforce from 300 to 900 employees.
Speculation abounds that Eaton may soon take over the Helen of Troy corporate headquarters, as they have put their head office and warehouse up for sale – two buildings which are some of the few in town with such price tags attached. On Aug 30th, Helen Of Troy entered into contract with an unnamed buyer for their building located in Northwest El Paso; while they did not confirm who this buyer was, they stated that they would remain based within El Paso but move to another facility during restructuring efforts.
