"Eastern Bank Relocates Headquarters and Reduces Size by 50%"

Eastern Bank has announced its plans to relocate its headquarters to 125 High Street, one of Boston’s premier towers. This move, reported by the Boston Business Journal, will see the bank leave its current office space on Franklin Street.

The bank has secured a lease for a full floor at Tishman Speyer’s 125 High Street, totaling approximately 24,000 square feet. This is a significant reduction from their current space of two floors and 44,000 square feet at 265 Franklin Street. The relocation is expected to take place in the spring.

The new location boasts modern amenities such as communal spaces including an expanded gym and tenant lounge with a roof deck. Additionally, there is also access to a lobby featuring a golf simulator for tenants’ enjoyment.

This news marks Eastern Bank’s downsizing by half as they make this strategic move towards more efficient and contemporary office accommodations in downtown Boston.
