The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey (GSCSNJ) have recently launched the Girl Scout DreamLab in North Brunswick, NJ. This innovative space aims to empower girls through creativity and collaboration, making GSCSNJ the third council in the nation to introduce this initiative.
In recognition of this milestone, Governor Phil Murphy declared September 13th as Girl Scout Dream Day. The DreamLab offers a range of opportunities for girls to explore STEM projects, podcasting, performances, bouldering and more. It is envisioned as a versatile hub for badge work, troop meetings and award projects.
According to Ginny Hill CEO of GSCSNJ: “We aim for this space to be multifunctional – serving as a hub not only for badge work but also hosting troop meetings and assisting with Gold or Silver Award projects.” Starting from October onwards both girl scout troops and partners can utilize the DreamLab’s facilities for activities such as badge workshops or community service projects.
This exciting development marks an important step forward in empowering young girls through various avenues at their disposal.
