The Durst Organization has revealed new designs for 20 and 30 Halletts Point, the next stage of development in Astoria’s Halletts Point neighborhood. Designed by Handel Architects, these buildings will offer a total of 647 rental units along with retail space and the first section of public open space on the waterfront. Leasing is set to begin in February 2025, with move-ins expected in spring.
The opening of these buildings will also mark the completion of phase one: a stunning public esplanade spanning over 58,000 square feet designed by Starr Whitehouse. This waterfront promenade will provide access to this previously inaccessible stretch for generations to come and feature amenities such as a playground, picnic area, and various seating options.
According to developers at The Durst Organization, Halletts Point offers residents an elevated living experience along Astoria’s waterfront while still providing easy access to Manhattan. The first building in this development project was completed in 2019 – known as10 Halletts Point – offering renters luxurious accommodations with its impressive selection of405 units; it is now almost fully leased out.
