Marcus & Millichap recently completed the sale of a 2,700-square-foot net-leased property in Chicago. The property, a retail space for 7-Eleven located at 191 W. Adams Street on the ground floor of JW Marriott Hotel, was sold for $3.5 million according to reports from Chicago Business Journal . Nicholas Kanich represented the seller, a local investor based in Chicago and also secured and represented the buyer.
According to Kanich’s statement to Journal , “The future looks promising for Loop area with recent transactions like office building at 30 N LaSalle and increasing number of people moving downtown.” This positive outlook is further supported by recent renovations worth $396 million carried out by JW Marriott Hotel along with Google’s new tech hub situated within historic Thompson Center building near this prime location.
This transaction highlights another successful deal in Downtown Chicago real estate market as it continues its upward trend towards growth and development.
