Driver SPG, a unit of C.W. Driver Companies, has commenced construction on the first new full-service electric vehicle (EV) charging center for Rove in Orange County. The 1.2-acre Santa Ana location is expected to be completed by summer 2024 and will feature high-powered direct-current fast chargers capable of simultaneously charging up to 40 vehicles at speeds reaching up to 350 kW. In addition, customers can expect enhanced amenities that go beyond traditional gas stations.
Rove has plans for six EV charging centers in Southern California, including the inaugural Santa Ana site as well as locations in Corona, Costa Mesa, Long Beach,Torrance and Rancho Cucamonga. Headquartered in Costa Mesa,the company aims to open a total of twenty locations by 2026.
According to President Karl Kreutziger of Driver SPG,”Our expertise makes us well-suited for constructing these innovative EV charging centers which require both technical knowledge and attention-to-detail typically seen with hospitality projects.” He also expressed excitement about partnering with forward-thinking companies like Rove who are embracing future technologies.
