Draft Plan for San Pedro Waterfront Connectivity at Port of Los Angeles

The Port of Los Angeles has released a draft Waterfront Connectivity Plan for San Pedro, an extensive long-term planning and vision document outlining strategies to link Downtown San Pedro, its surrounding neighborhoods and the larger region to the LA Waterfront. Developed in collaboration with design firm SWA Group, this plan will be presented at the September 7th meeting of the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners. Additionally, another community input session is scheduled for September 28th.

“The Port has made considerable investments over recent years focused on deindustrializing their waterfront area and transforming it into a recreational destination,” said Mike Galvin – Director of Waterfront & Commercial Real Estate at The Port Of Los Angeles – “Community feedback has been essential throughout this process.” When finalized later in 2021, this plan will help guide future improvements by both The Port as well as private development projects according to them.
