Spire, a luxurious 41-story condominium tower developed by Laconia Development with a budget of $350 million, has recently launched the first robotic EV charging system in the United States. This innovative technology is now available to residents and sets Spire apart as an industry leader in urban living.
In early 2021, Spire introduced Seattle’s first fully automated parking system that uses state-of-the-art computer-controlled technology to transfer vehicles to available parking spaces within minutes without requiring a driver. And now, with the latest enhancement to this advanced parking system, electric vehicles can also be automatically charged by robotic arms.
The garage at Spire can accommodate up to 192 vehicles and these robots have the capability of fully charging more than two-thirds of them within just 24 hours. If needed, an assigned EV charging station will transport the vehicle for automatic recharging via its robotic arm.
According Paul Menzies , CEO of Laconia Development: “We are extremely proud that our team at Laconia has achieved yet another groundbreaking milestone with our introduction of robots that automatically charge electric vehicles.” With this cutting-edge amenity being exclusive only at Spire among all other condominium towers nationwide – it truly sets new standards for convenience and innovation in downtown Seattle living.
