"Downtown SA Hotel Approved for Construction by Oxbow"

The Oxbow Development Group has received approval from the local San Antonio planning board to construct a nine-story hotel with 166 rooms. The hotel, named The Grove, will be located across from the historic Hotel Emma. This decision paves the way for Oxbow to build a select-service hotel on the other side of the river from Hotel Emma.

Construction is expected to begin soon on The Grove and several other large projects in Tobin Hill by Oxbow. Additionally, three apartment properties are also in development, including Mira which will provide parking for guests at The Grove.

According to their website, Oxbow has experience working on historical structures at Pearl Brewery and recently became an independent subsidiary under Silver Ventures’ development team before rebranding as Oxbow Development Group in 2021. They have plans to continue developing new projects both within and outside of Pearl’s vicinity.
