McKinney is making strides in its efforts to revitalize downtown by partnering with M2G Ventures, a development company. The city staff will be working closely with M2G to negotiate the terms of a redevelopment agreement for city-owned land in the area.
The project includes plans for new structures on five blocks within the downtown area. These buildings will feature mixed-use spaces, including restaurants and offices up to five stories tall. Additionally, there will be a six-story hotel that includes event space and commercial areas, as well as a multifamily building with integrated parking on five floors.
Another key component of this initiative is the construction of a public parking garage just north of downtown that can accommodate 250 vehicles.
M2G Ventures has an impressive track record when it comes to successful developments. They have acquired over 4.5 million square feet of property since their establishment and have experience transforming various types of buildings such as warehouses and historic properties into modern spaces suitable for today’s needs.
