"Downtown Redevelopment Plan Making Progress in McKinney"

A new hotel, office space, residential units and retail could potentially be part of a downtown redevelopment plan in McKinney. M2G Ventures has been selected by the town to lead this project.

According to Community Impact, four city-owned properties will be vacated as part of the redevelopment plans. This includes the current City Hall building where staff will move out by early next year.

The proposed site plan features a six-story full-service hotel with 139 rooms. The hotel would also have approximately 3,000 square feet for retail and restaurant spaces such as a beer garden and grill. Additionally, there is almost 5,000 square feet designated for meeting space. Other components of the plan include:

– A three-story office building
– Twelve townhomes
– One hundred sixty-six multifamily units with over 360 parking spots

The site plan also incorporates various retail spaces throughout the development and a public parking garage with capacity for up to 150 vehicles.
