The town of McKinney has approved a downtown redevelopment plan that will bring new additions to the area. M2G Ventures has been selected by the town to lead this project, which includes a hotel, office space, residential units and retail.
According to Community Impact, four city-owned properties will be vacated in order for the redevelopment plans to take place. This includes the current City Hall building where staff will relocate from after January 1st.
The proposed site plan features a six-story full-service hotel with 139 rooms. The hotel would also offer approximately 3,000 square feet of retail and restaurant spaces such as a beer garden and grill. Additionally, there are plans for almost 5,000 square feet of meeting space available at the hotel. Other components of this project include:
– A three-story office building
– Twelve townhomes
– One hundred sixty-six multifamily units with over three hundred sixty parking spaces
Furthermore,the site plan incorporates various retail spaces throughout the development as well as a public parking garage with one hundred fifty spots available for use.
