Vanderbilt University has been actively expanding its presence in the downtown Nashville area by purchasing land. Recently, they acquired a retail center on West End for $66.9 million from Park Place Retail Partners, who had originally bought the four-parcel site for $5.67 million in 2005.
The property spans over 3.23 acres and includes the popular Park Place shopping center with various restaurants, shops, and office spaces such as Chipotle and Ted’s Montana Grill. This shopping center was built in 1985 and covers almost 60,000 square feet.
As part of the deal, Vanderbilt will lease back these properties to their previous owners.
