Cedar Park, in collaboration with RedLeaf, a development firm, is currently working on the Bell District project. This 54-acre mixed-use development will be located off Bell Boulevard.
According to Community Impact’s report from 2015 to 2018, the city acquired over 50 acres of land which has now become the site for the Bell District. The master plan for this district includes various amenities such as a new city library and an outdoor space called “the backyard” featuring a playground, lawn area and event spaces. Additionally, there will be multifamily units, retail shops and dining options as well as office spaces within this development.
To accommodate parking needs for residents and visitors of the district’s commercial areas , public parking garages will be built within some of the residential and retail buildings. Once completed , it is estimated that there will be approximately1 ,200-1 ,500 apartments in total .
The next phase of construction is scheduled to begin in mid-next year (2025) with an expected completion time frame of18-24 months . It is anticipated that both Cedar Park officials and RedLeaf developers are aiming for an opening date in2027 . The entire first phase should take between five to seven years before being fully developed .
