"Downtown D.C. Office Building Sold by Tishman Speyer for $140M"

New York-based real estate company Tishman Speyer has recently sold 2000 K Street NW, a downtown D.C. office property, for $140.2 million to Spear Street Capital.

The building was acquired by Tishman in 2013 for $89 million and underwent extensive renovations before being sold during the pandemic. The sale was completed with the help of a $103 million acquisition loan from Germany-based DekaBank.

Tishman’s renovation project included updates such as a new glass facade, four-story expansion, and rooftop terrace designed by MdeAS Architects, Gensler and civil engineer Wiles Mensch. A spokesperson for Tishman stated that they are pleased with the successful sale of 2000 K Street to Spear Street Capital and proud of their accomplishments at this property.
