According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Horizon Hospitality is leading the development of two new hotels near Emory University Midtown Hospital. The proposed site for these 12-story hotels is located at West Peachtree Street and Baltimore Place in Downtown, which was acquired in 2023 for $8.4 million.
The addition of these hotels could potentially bring almost 400 new hotel rooms to the market.
One of the buildings will be operated under Hilton Worldwide’s micro-hotel brand Motto, while the other will be managed by Marriott International’s extended-stay brand TownePlace Suites.
Both properties are expected to feature a unique sky lobby design on their top floors, designed by BCA-Studios as their architect.
Situated across from Atlanta’s tourism and convention hub and south of Midtown’s bustling center, this location offers convenient access for travelers. Additionally, with Centennial Yards’ ongoing project to revamp The Gulch area nearby, there are already three other hotel developments either underway or in planning stages within close proximity.
