"Doraville Project Progresses as $300M Investment Continues"

According to Urbanize Atlanta, the first stages of the proposed Lotus Grove district are progressing smoothly and vertical construction is set to begin in summer 2025. The estimated cost for this development is over $300 million. Insignia, an Atlanta-based company, is spearheading the project which will feature low-rise retail spaces and restaurants as well as a 12-story multifamily tower with 456 apartment units and various amenities. Resia will be leading the construction of this residential building.

The location for Lotus Grove will be at 5597 Buford Highway just outside Interstate 285 Loop. This site was previously occupied by a Kmart store which has since been demolished.

It is expected that both the retail and residential components of Lotus Grove will be completed by sometime in 2027.

In addition to these developments, there are plans for two more residential towers reaching up to twelve stories each with a total of approximately780 units within roughly one million square feet of new construction. Other features include a national hotel and a public park designed specifically for hosting events.

This exciting $300 million project in Doraville remains on track according to recent reports from Connect CRE.
