"Doraville Project Progresses as $300M Investment Continues"

According to Urbanize Atlanta, the initial stages of the proposed Lotus Grove district are progressing as planned. Vertical construction is set to begin in summer 2025, with an estimated cost exceeding $300 million. Insignia, a company based in Atlanta, is leading the development of low-rise retail and restaurants as well as a 12-story multifamily tower in Doraville. This tower will offer 456 apartment units and various amenities for residents. The apartment project is being overseen by Resia.

The location for this project is at 5597 Buford Highway just outside Interstate 285 Loop. Previously occupied by a Kmart store which has since been demolished.

It’s expected that both the retail and residential portions of Lotus Grove will be completed by sometime in 2027.

In addition to these components, there are plans for two more residential towers reaching up to twelve stories each (with a total of780 units) within approximately one million square feet of new construction area.The development also includes plans for a national hotel and public park designed specifically for hosting events.

Overall,the $300M Doraville Project remains on track accordingto Connect CRE.
