Vornado Realty Trust has recently completed the transformation of 33rd Street into Plaza33, a vibrant pedestrian plaza located in Midtown. This project, developed in collaboration with the NYC Department of Transportation, boasts an array of features including lush trees and landscaping, elegant stone benches and inviting seating areas. The primary goal behind Plaza33 is to elevate the neighborhood’s appeal while also providing convenient access to transportation options as well as a plethora of new dining choices.
Moreover, this initiative includes exciting entertainment events and forms part of Vornado’s significant investment worth $2.7 billion in THE PENN DISTRICT – which encompasses renovated office buildings such as Bustle along with Meta’s upcoming headquarters at Farley Post Office and Moynihan Train Hall redevelopment.
According to New York City Mayor Eric Adams: “As we continue to set new employment records while simultaneously reducing crime rates across our city; we are now embarking on a fresh chapter for our economic recovery by advancing projects that will further enhance life within New York City.”
The unveiling ceremony for Vornado’s latest public space – Plaza33 marks yet another milestone towards revitalizing Midtown Manhattan without mentioning any specific brand names or locations like Connect CRE or Connect LA or Connect Texas.
