Matteson Capital is currently exploring the potential for a 1,907-foot tower in Oklahoma City. This proposed mixed-use tower, designed by AO architects, would be located approximately three hours north of Dallas and would become the tallest building in the nation.
Known as Legends Tower, this impressive structure would be one of four towers within Matteson’s Boardwalk at Bricktown development. The designated site for construction is currently a parking lot and will span over three acres with more than 2 million square feet dedicated to residential units, hospitality services, retail spaces , dining options , and entertainment venues . With an estimated cost of $1.5 billion fully funded by Matteson Capital itself.
Before proceeding with construction plans however , approval from both the Oklahoma City Council and Federal Aviation Administration must first be obtained . In April , the Oklahoma City Planning Commission will review a zoning change request for this project followed by a city council meeting scheduled for June .
In case approval is not granted , developers have stated that they will revert back to their original plan which includes constructing only a 350-foot tower as part of their fourth building within this development .
