MakeInspires, a leading provider of STEAM classes and programs for K-12 students and adults, has recently launched its inaugural Makerspace in New York City’s Upper East Side. According to the New York Business Journal, this 3,000-square-foot space at 1642 York Ave offers five classrooms named after influential female figures in STEM fields. It also boasts an interactive 16-foot LED wall and a retail area featuring products designed and crafted within the Makerspace.
At MakeInspires NYC, individuals can choose from over 20 after-school programs and courses that cover diverse topics such as filmmaking, coding, 3D printing,and woodworking. Additionally,the facility hosts workshops on days when schools are closed. The venue is also available for rental purposes like birthday parties or corporate team-building events.
The deal was brokered by KSR’s Joshua Berkun who represented MakeInspires during negotiations.
