Greystar Real Estate Partners has successfully developed 50 build-to-rent communities across the United States. Their latest project, Summerwell Sunterra in Katy, will mark their first venture into the Houston Metro area. This development will be situated within Starwood Land’s expansive 2,300-acre master-planned community and is expected to have its first homes available for lease by mid-2024.
The community will consist of 156 detached homes and townhomes with three or four bedrooms each. Residents can enjoy access to Sunterra’s impressive amenities such as the planned Crystal Lagoon and The Retreat – a $12 million amenity area featuring a pool, water slide, lazy river, splash pad, fitness center playgrounds soccer field and tennis courts.
Known primarily for managing apartment complexes throughout Houston,Greystar aims to expand its portfolio with this new build-to-rent project in Katy. With nearly 200 apartment communities listed under their management in the Houston area alone,this new development marks an exciting milestone for Greystar’s growth strategy.
