JPMorgan Chase has announced extensive renovation plans for its local headquarters, the 850-foot tall Chase Tower located at 10 S. Dearborn Street in Chicago’s Loop neighborhood. The iconic skyscraper will undergo a complete transformation, becoming a modern and dynamic workplace with flexible and collaborative spaces, as well as an array of amenities.
Leading architectural firm Gensler is spearheading the project which includes updates to the plaza, lobby and mezzanine areas to create a more interconnected space. The work floors will also be refurbished with state-of-the-art technology while new additions such as a fitness center and improved outdoor plaza area will enhance employee experience. Sustainability is also at the forefront of this project with features like water-efficient plumbing fixtures, low-embodied carbon construction materials, and carbon-neutral carpeting.
This ambitious undertaking is expected to generate over 970 jobs in Cook County alone during construction phase along with significant economic activity estimated at $264 million for Cook County and $377 million for Illinois overall. With over 14,500 employees in Chicagoland including 7
