**Dine Brands Plans Global Expansion of Dual-Branded Applebee’s and IHOP Restaurants**

Dine Brands International, a subsidiary of Dine Brands Global, Inc., has announced plans to expand its dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP restaurant concept in 2025. This expansion includes entering the Costa Rican market through a partnership with franchisee BLT UK Holdings Limited and opening the first non-traditional dual-branded restaurants in Mexico with franchisees Grupo Shogua and ATH Group.

The dual-branded format has become a central strategy in Dine Brands’ international growth. Currently, there are 18 locations across seven markets: Mexico, Canada, UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, and Peru. In 2025, the company aims to open 13 additional dual-branded restaurants in various international markets and complete 10 dual conversions.

“Our expansion plans create opportunities to adapt to local customs, taste, and traditions, as well as new formats and varying footprints,” said Scott Gladstone, president of international and corporate development at Dine Brands Global.

Dine Brands is actively seeking qualified master developers in selected territories in Mexico and Canada, as well as master franchisees and developers in selected European and Asian markets.
