**Dick’s Sporting Goods Plans New House of Sport Store in Gilbert, AZ**
Dick’s Sporting Goods has purchased land near the intersection of Williams Field Road and San Tan Village Parkway in Gilbert, Arizona, for $6.8 million. The retailer plans to construct one of its new concept stores, House of Sport, on the site. The land was sold by the developer of Signature at SanTan Village, a proposed 30-acre, $145 million shopping center.
The planned store will span 119,397 square feet and serve as one of the anchor tenants of the development. The House of Sport store concept goes beyond traditional retail by offering an immersive and interactive shopping experience. Features include a climbing wall, golf simulation bays, multi-sport cages, and an attached outdoor field that will be available for open play, clinics, and organized sports leagues.
This move follows a broader rollout of the House of Sport concept, which has proven to be financially successful for Dick’s. In 2024 alone, the company opened seven new House of Sport locations, bringing the total number to 19 across the country by the end of the year.
