DFW Airport Modernizing Cargo Operations with Expansion

DFW Airport is expanding and modernizing its cargo operations with the 19th Street Cargo Redevelopment Project, scheduled for completion in late 2024. The project will add roughly 350,000 square feet of new warehouse space and seven ADG VI (large cargo aircraft) parking positions at a cost of $140 million. It is expected to apply state-of-the-art technology that addresses labor shortages, airport congestion, and sustainability while increasing safety, efficiency, and security across the cargo ecosystem.

Menzies Aviation has tentatively been chosen by DFW Airport to operate two warehouses located at the 19th Street Cargo area. Robert Fordree from Menzies said “This new opportunity will allow us to showcase our investment in innovation as we make this facility one of the most technologically advanced in North America” – Menzies operates at 251 airports globally spanning 58 countries worldwide.
