DFW Airport and American Airlines Investing $1.6 Billion in New Terminal

Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is expanding with a long-awaited sixth terminal. The $1.6 billion first phase of the project will include Terminal F, featuring 15 gates and construction beginning late 2024 through 2026. In addition, DFW and American Airlines have announced an investment of $4.8 billion for further construction projects over the next decade, including reconstructing Terminal C which has been in its original state since the airport opened 50 years ago – expected to be completed by 2028.

The expansion comes as no surprise due to Metroplex’s astronomical growth driving demand for more space at DFW; this year alone 78 million travelers are expected while within six or seven years 100 million people a year could be served by the airport annually!
