Development JV Secures $100 Million in Construction Debt for Skokie Mixed-Use Development

Tucker Development and Wingspan Development Group have successfully secured $100 million in construction financing for their joint venture project, The Henry at Harms Woods. This four-story mixed-use development, located at 5400 Old Orchard Road in Skokie, Illinois, will feature 245 luxury apartments and 49 rental townhomes along with approximately 10,000 square feet of commercial space.

According to Aaron Tucker, president and chief investment officer of Tucker Development: “Despite the challenges posed by the current lending environment, our lenders have shown confidence in this project as well as all parties involved.” The financing was provided by Kennedy Wilson and a national insurance company.

The Henry at Harms Woods is set to be the first new-construction Class A rental property developed in this area within the past decade. Its prime location just west of Westfield Old Orchard makes it an attractive option for both residents and businesses alike. HKM Architects + Planners designed the building while Nicholas & Associates will handle its construction starting from spring onwards.
