**KW Commercial Plans 240,000-SF Mixed-Use Project in Indian Land, SC**

A development team led by KW Commercial is planning a significant mixed-use project in Indian Land, South Carolina, just south of Charlotte. The project, named The Point, will span 44 acres and include approximately 240,000 square feet of commercial space.

The development will feature a hotel with around 90 rooms and several commercial outparcels designated for various uses, including medical offices, retail, restaurants, smaller office spaces, storage facilities, and a daycare center.

According to recent reports from the Charlotte Business Journal, the team plans to break ground on The Point in the summer of 2026.

The Indian Land area has seen a surge in development activity. In September, the Medical University of South Carolina began construction on a new hospital campus at 9258 Charlotte Highway, with completion expected in 2027.

Additionally, Crosland Southeast is underway with The Exchange at Indian Land, a large-scale project that includes Costco Wholesale and Lowes Foods, both of which have recently opened. The Exchange also features residential units such as apartments and townhomes, along with more retail space.

The Point is set to contribute meaningfully to the region’s growth, reflecting increased commercial and residential demand in the Indian Land corridor.
