A KW Commercial-led team is setting its sights on a parcel in Indian Land, South Carolina—just south of Charlotte—for a major mixed-use development.

The project, known as “The Point,” will span 44 acres and include approximately 240,000 square feet of total commercial space. Plans for the development feature a 90-room hotel, as well as additional commercial outparcels designated for uses such as medical offices, retail, smaller office spaces, restaurants, self-storage, and a daycare facility.

The development team is targeting a groundbreaking date in the summer of 2026.

The Indian Land area has seen a surge in commercial activity. In September, the Medical University of South Carolina began construction on a hospital campus located at 9258 Charlotte Highway. The facility is projected to open in 2027.

Additionally, Crosland Southeast is developing The Exchange at Indian Land, a nearby mixed-use center that includes retail anchors such as Costco Wholesale Corp. and Lowes Foods, both of which opened recently. The Exchange also features apartments, townhomes, and more retail offerings.
